Bar Cecil is a love letter to Cecil Beaton’s vision of life and art: a celebration of what’s good and in the process creating memories through food, drink, and hospitality. Bar Cecil is for those who follow the beat to their own drum, horn, or whatever inspires them to create, to be individuals, and to embrace diversity. The bistro menu honors local provisioners and the finest seasonal produce with a nod to the great American and European bistro experiences. Entrees include steak + fries, roasted Gonestraw Farms chicken, pan-seared halibut, smoked bone-in pork chop, and a classic pasta. In the perfect Beaton style, the menu’s “Why Not?” choices include Thomas Keller’s Regis Ova caviar service, oysters on the half shell, a dry-aged tomahawk steak, and the Beaton Martini, a Beluga vodka cocktail served with a deviled egg topped with Regiis Ova caviar and a house-pickled cocktail onion. For special occasions, a bespoke menu called the Beaton Experience can be arranged with an assortment of specialty dishes on a table set with china from Luke Edward Hall and other creative design elements. Bar Cecil also offers a full bar serving classic and inventive cocktails.
Seymour’s, the newest creation of Tara Lazar (Cheeky’s, Birba and Mr. Lyons) and business Partner/Cocktail Engineer Steen Bojsen-Moller. Named after Lazar’s father, Seymour’s is a classic bar for drinkers. It transports you with its Lush interiors, moody lighting and a sneaky unmarked side entrance-making it feels like a Palm Springs institution that has been there for generations.
Where “past meets present”; featuring key design elements salvaged from the original 1938 restaurant seamlessly merged with the modern and eclectic. The cocktail menu, conceived by Bojsen-Moller himself is exquisite, unique and balanced with no pretense. Seymour’s also features a large outdoor patio with lounge seating and bocce ball for the full al fresco Palm Springs experience.

Through the decades the popularity of the gay-inspired T-Dance has decreased, but not here in Palm Springs. We are proud to keep the traditions started in places like Fire Island and Provincetown alive. The outdoor patio at Oscar’s provides a unique outdoor space to keep this important tradition alive. Every Sunday from 4pm – 8pm come celebrate a part of gay history with our local DJ’s and sometimes guest DJ’s from out of town. We make sure they play the music that fits the genre of the T-Dance.
Join us as we celebrate this wonderful era! This event will not have a cover charge unless it’s specified as a special occasion. We’re doing our best to not let the T-Dance become a piece of our forgotten gay history.
